A cast takoyaki plate from Otafuku, the Osaka sauce house that practically owns the dish.
Sixteen hemispherical wells in heavy cast metal: the mass holds heat so the batter sets a crisp shell the moment it hits the plate, and the round wells let you turn each ball with a pick as it cooks. Sits on a gas ring or a portable butane burner. Season it before first use like any cast pan and it only gets better with time.

We ship from our EU warehouse in Prague. Free across the EU on orders over €80, typically 3-7 business days. Outside EU: standard rates apply, customs handled at destination. Tracking on every order.
What's your return policy?
30 days, no questions asked. Ship it back, we refund. Damage from misuse isn't covered - but normal 'this isn't right for me' is. Email office@smartsushichef.com to start.
How do I know the product is authentic?
Every product on the site is sourced directly from the maker or an authorised EU importer. If you ever receive something you suspect is not authentic, email us with photos - we'll refund or replace immediately.
Can I get a chef-business invoice?
Yes. Add your VAT number at checkout and we'll issue a proper EU B2B invoice. For volume orders, contact sales@smartsushichef.com - we have a separate price list for restaurants.
